Classes and Schedules

Puppy Kindergarten (6 weeks/$110.00):   
Puppies 8 to 18 weeks.  Focus on socialization, preventing aggression, and preventing behavior problems.  Pups are turned loose to play in a safe, structured environment.  Behaviors taught include crate training, sit, lie down, loose leash walking, wait, coming when called, and drop what's in your mouth.

Adolescent Dog Class (7 weeks/$125.00): 
Puppies 18 weeks to 8 months.  Continue your pups education and socialization.  Pups are turned loose to play.  Obedience includes sit, lie down, stand, introductory heeling, wait at the door, and coming when called.  Distractions are added systematically so that your pup can succeed. 

Basic  I Obedience Training (7 weeks/$125.00): 
For dogs over 5 months.  Focus on obedience including wait at doors/gates, sit to greet a human, heel, loose leash walking, lie down, off, drop-it, coming when called from distractions, and leave-it.  Behavior problems addressed and written homework provided.

Basic 2 Obedience Training (7 weeks/$125.00): 
Dogs that have had previous training.  Focus on heeling, adding distractions, finish, and stays with distance.  AKC Canine Good Citizen components are introduced and practiced. 

Rally Obedience (7 weeks $125.00): 
Dogs that are proficient in Basic 1 obedience.  Follow the signs as they direct you from start to finish. Learn some challenging obedience moves along the way.  This class will prepare you for fun competitions where you and your dog can earn an obedience title.

Company’s Coming (5 weeks/$95.00): 
The ultimate house manners class. Focus on a solid stay when people come to visit, no begging at the table, and proper behavior at the door. This class will break it all down into easily attainable steps so that you have a well behaved dog in the house.  Please bring a rubber backed mat or rug to class.

Drop In Foster Dog Training (No Charge):
Drop in with your foster dog for some basic obedience before they go to their forever home.  Get helpful advice from our instructor on behavior problems, socialization, temperament, and training.
This class is strictly for foster dogs from licensed rescue groups or shelters.

Come Here Now (5 weeks/$90.00): 
Focus on coming when called away from distractions.  We will begin on leash and finish with off leash recalls.  Weather permitting, classes will be taught outdoors.

Dabble in Dog Sports (7 weeks/$130.00): 
A plethora of fun awaits you as you participate in 3 weeks of agility, 1 week of flyball, 1 week of freestyle, 1 week of rally obedience and 1 week of disc.

Obedience/Agility for Kids (7 weeks/$130.00): 
Sorry parents, you have to be 11 to 14 years old to take this class.  Students will teach their dogs to sit, stay, come when called and "focus" when faced with the many distractions that occur during agility.  This class will also introduce agility obstacles in a safe manner.

Obedience/Agility for Adults (7 weeks/$130.00): 
This class is for the dog with no formal obedience training that would like to get started in the sport of agility.  Students will learn to teach their dogs to sit, stay, come when called, and "focus".  This class will also introduce agility obstacles in a safe manner.

Introduction to Agility I (7 weeks/$150.00): 
Introduce your dog to this exciting sport.  This class will teach your dog to safely move through the agility obstacles in a manner in which they can succeed.  You will begin learning the foundation for training an agility dog.

Introduction to Agility II (7 weeks/$130.00): 
This class is for the dog with some agility and foundation training.  Weave poles may be closed or open and dog should be comfortable with a least half height A-Frame and Dog Walk.

Starters Agility  (7 weeks/$130.00): 
This class is for the somewhat experienced dog and handler.  Your dog should be comfortable with full height equipment.  Weave poles may be open or closed.  The handler should have some prior knowledge of handling techniques including front and rear crosses.  This class will focus on improving handler and dog performance.

Advanced/Competitive Agility  (7 weeks/$130.00): 
This class is for experienced dogs and handlers.  Current students are trialing in beginner and advanced competitions.

Fido and Me Fitness (7 weeks $125.00): 
Come join us for a gentle workout for you and your dog.  We will be combining Doga (doggie yoga), ROM (range of motion exercises)  and Canine Freestyle (doggie dancing) for an hour of waggish fitness. Students and their dogs are encouraged to work at their own levels of fitness/training.

Introduction to Flyball Racing (7 weeks/$130.00): 
This is a great class for dogs that need to burn off some extra energy.  Watch your dog as it learns to run down a lane of 4 jumps, retrieve a tennis ball, and return back to you.  This class will introduce your dog to the flyball box, passing, retrieving, and recalls. This ongoing class uses a punch card.  After sending in your registration you may start on any Sunday.  Complete 7 classes within 9 dates

Reactive Dog Class (6 weeks $200.00): 
This class is for dogs that exhibit aggression or over excitability while leashed in the presence of other dogs.  This class discusses and implements behavior modification techniques. Sound management practices are taught to reduce the dogs reactive tendencies .  No dogs first week of class.  Instructor approval required for enrollment. 

Competitive Obedience (6 weeks $110.00): 
Welcome to the world of competitive obedience!  Or, if you're already competing in open/utility we can help, with our positive, progressive style.  Strong foundation skills will be taught to build confident, happy, working dogs while in the ring.  Dogs with various skill levels are encouraged to attend as our lessons are tailored to the individual dogs needs.  Completion of a basic obedience class, or equivalent is required.
